Being a British Columbia Photographer based in the beautiful Okanagan, I get the honour of capturing couples celebrating their love. These past few years of capturing couples on their special day, I get to capture lasting memories. My heart lives for adventurous and spontaneous elopements. I wanted to capture an intimate elopement between two people in the secluded mountains.

When I started to plan this shoot, I knew exactly who I wanted to work with. I needed the right vendors to help me create this vision. I teamed up with Ginger Turley Artistry to create a perfect romantic look for this shoot. When we searched for a couple, I immediately thought of my dear friends Malcolm and Nakita. They were recently engaged and had plans for a small wedding or an elopement. They were a match made in heaven for this shoot! Our bride, Nakita wore a breathtaking gown from First Comes Love Bridal that fit the theme of our shoot perfectly. When fitting the groom, Malcolm, I instantly thought to call our friends at Main Street Clothing. Their sense of style when it came to styling was exactly what we wanted. We wanted to keep a clean and put-together look with a wow factor. They did just that by pairing a slim fit trouser with a unique dress shirt.

When it came to choosing florals for this shoot, I had no doubt in my mind to reach out to Florabella Designs for a unique bouquet to compliment the shoot. We wanted something wild and free, and she did just that! When I sent my vision board, she was able to recreate what I was envisioning in my head with a little twist! She incorporated lush greenery, feathers, and deep burgundy accents.

Our cake and cupcakes were designed by Cakes by Kayla. She did a fabulous job creating a cake that would best fit this elopement. Our stationery complimented and tied in the entire shoot. Becky from Pure Wedding Designs did an absolutely stunning job creating stationery for this shoot. When choosing a location, there were no doubts in my mind that I wanted to incorporate a cabin-like, woodsy environment. Rustic Wedding / High Country Tree Farm was the absolute perfect location for our elopement. The variety in locations found on the properly were endless and the opportunity for an intimate elopement was perfection.

On the day of the shoot, we made our way from Kamloops to Sorrento. We started our road trip with Starbucks in hand, and some country tunes. We spent the afternoon rocking out to our favorite songs, laughing, and exploring through the woods.
