Words cannot express how fortunate I feel to be able to capture a winery wedding like this. This Romantic Greenhouse Winery Wedding was such a beautiful day. Angie and I met through Tourism Kamloops, and Ian and I met back in our high school days on a lifeguarding course. Talk about a small world! Angie and Ian met online, and it was nothing but forward with these two.
Angie and Ian share a fur baby named Toby (who by the way is the cutest and most friendly pup ever!) and they love getting outside and exploring. Angie absolutely loves watching Ian interact with Toby. Ian loves seeing Angie bounce around on skis on powder days up on the ski hill. Ian loves exploring the mountains and skiing while Angie loves to travel and enjoy the occasional lazy Sundays. Some of the things they love most are filling up growlers from Iron Road Brewing, making flatbread pizza at home and mountain biking in Valleyview/Juniper in the evenings. Oh…and don’t forget takeout and a glass of BC rose!
How the day started
Angie and Ian started their day getting ready with their close friends and family. It was so important to capture their friends and family, and that is just what we did! Angie and Ian chose to get married at Monte Creek Winery. The day before their wedding, we met at the venue after their rehearsal. The wind was so heavy and it had been raining, so last minute they chose to move their ceremony outdoors to inside the Monte Creek Winery Greenhouse. Let me just tell you that I am a HUGE fan of this venue. It is new and the staff told the bride and groom that they were the first to have their ceremony inside!! I was honoured to capture their ceremony inside this space.
On our way to Cocktail Hour
We then moved on to the cocktail hour, family photos, and portraits. We snuck away into the vineyard to get the bridal party photos, and the bride and groom portraits. Considering the day before it was windy and rainy, this day brought sunshine!! We still endured the wind but were grateful there was no rain. It was important for Angie and Ian to get back to their cocktail hour to mingle with their friends and family, and we did just that. Just before the shutter, TasteFull Excursions took them and their guests to their reception at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Kamloops. Their evening finished with a family-style dinner and some beautiful speeches.
The men got ready in their hotel room at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Kamloops and enjoyed some scotch and charcuterie from Cure Culinary Provisions.
Can we just take a second to admire THESE SHOES!!! The ladies got ready at Angie’s family home before leaving for the ceremony.
