This Vancouver garden maternity session was exactly that.
Backyard Garden Session
Set in the backyard surrounded by lush greenery, we created a maternity session that felt less like a traditional photoshoot and more like a little slice of summer at home. Mama wore the cutest combination of white shorts, a classic red-and-white striped shirt, and green rain boots and yes, we even brought out the garden hose.
The result was a collection of images that felt joyful, candid, and full of personality. There’s something so nostalgic about playing in the backyard on a warm summer day, and incorporating those familiar details into a maternity session made these photographs feel especially meaningful.
Rather than focusing solely on the traditional maternity poses, we played with movement, water, greenery, and the everyday moments that make this season of life so special. The garden became our backdrop, the hose became part of the story, and the whole session took on this wonderfully carefree, editorial-meets-everyday feeling.
